The Basics of Casino War

Online Casino War is a game of high odds, played with six standard decks of cards that are always shuffled in between every play. The cards are ranked as they are in poker with aces being high. In casino war the varying suits don’t make a difference and they are all ranked equal.

How to Win

The player makes a wager before the dealer deals them each one card. There are three different types of wagers available to the player for online casino war:

• Ante – the game cannot start without an ante. An ante is a bet on the player winning.
• Tie Bet – a bet that is placed on both the dealer and player having a tie. An ante bet equal to the tie bet must still be placed.
• Raise – when a tie occurs, you can raise your bet and “go to war.” The bet amount in a raise will be equal to your ante.

After the bet has been placed, the dealer and player are each dealt a card and the card values are compared. If the player’s card is higher he will win the hand and an amount equal to his bet. The player loses if the dealer’s card is higher. If the cards are tie, the player can either surrender or go to war by raising the bet and them each being dealt another card. When going to war, the dealer will burn or discard three cards before dealing them each another card.

In the case of surrender, the player loses half of his bet. In the case of winning a raised bet he wins an amount equal to the original bet. If the player loses the raised round, he loses both his original bet and the raised bet. This is the slight house advantage that is held over the player. But it should not be enough to dissuade you from trying!
